Iran on Donald Trump Claim: Iran has reacted to US President Donald Trump’s ceasefire claim. Iran has called his claim false and baseless. Not only this, Iran even took a jibe at the US President and said that Trump is making an April Fool.
In fact, on Wednesday (April 1), US President Donald Trump claimed in a post that Iran’s new regime has requested him for a ceasefire. In return, Trump set the condition of completely opening the Strait of Hormuz. Not only this, he also threatened to destroy Iran if this did not happen.
Iran rejected Trump’s claim
According to media reports, Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson clarified on state television that Trump’s claim of ceasefire is factually incorrect and has nothing to do with reality.
‘President does not change due to social media posts’
At the same time, the Consulate General of Iran in Mumbai reacted strongly to his statement and took a dig. It was written in the post that Trump is making people “April Fools” because the President of any country does not change with a social media post. Iran clarified that Masoud Pezeshkian is still the President of Iran.
Earlier, Trump had posted and wrote, “The President of the new regime of Iran – who is far less fanatical and far more intelligent than his predecessors … has just requested a ‘ceasefire’ from the United States. We will consider this only when the Strait of Hormuz is completely open, free and safe. Until then, we will completely destroy Iran or as the saying goes, turn it back to ‘stones. Will push us into the ‘Stone Ages’.
We are ready to fight the war for 6 more months – Iranian Foreign Minister
On the other hand, Trump has also said that the US military will leave Iran in the next two to three weeks. Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has made it clear in an interview that he is fully prepared to fight a war with America and Israel for at least 6 more months. Araghchi said that Iran has full stock of weapons and essential goods and they will go to any extent to protect themselves.
