Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump has warned Iran that if it attacks American ships in Hormuz, it will be wiped off the face of the earth.

Seven small boats of Iran were sunk in water – Trump

Trump said in a post that under ‘Project Freedom’, the US Army has sunk seven small and fast boats of Iran in the sea. He also claimed that Iran had targeted a South Korean cargo ship. He said that perhaps the time has come for South Korea to also join this mission.

The campaign to evacuate commercial ships through the Strait of Hormuz has also been intensified, dodging Iran. Two American flagged ships also crossed it. During this time, the US side has rejected the claim that the American naval ship was attacked. Officials called it a complete fabrication.

Attacks on many UAE targets, Iran denies

After a few days of peace, the situation is worsening again in the Middle East. On Monday (May 4), the United Arab Emirates (UAE) claimed that Iran had attacked some of its targets with drones and rockets. According to the UAE, its air defense system also tried to stop 19 missiles and drones from Iran, but a massive fire broke out in the Fujairah Oil Industry Zone after a drone attack. Three Indian civilians were injured in the attack.

On the Fujairah attack, the Indian Ministry of External Affairs MEA said, “The attack on Fujairah, in which three Indian civilians were injured, is not acceptable. We demand an immediate end to this hostility and targeting of civilian infrastructure and innocent civilians. India stands for dialogue and diplomacy to deal with this situation, so that peace and stability can be returned to the entire West Asia. We demand free and unhindered navigation and commerce through the Strait of Hormuz in accordance with international law.” India is ready to support all efforts for peaceful resolution of the issues.”

However, Iran has clearly denied any involvement in the attacks on UAE. Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi wrote in a post on He said that ‘Project Freedom’ is actually ‘Project Deadlock’.

What is Project Freedom?

Project Freedom is a military-led operation launched by the US in May 2026 with the aim of evacuating neutral/merchant ships stranded in the Strait of Hormuz amid tensions with Iran.
