Iran’s President has appointed Revolutionary Guards General Majid Ebenalreza as acting Defense Minister. Let us tell you that the previous general had died in Israeli-US attacks.

Iranian cleric Alireza Arafi has said something in public for the first time after becoming a member of Iran’s Temporary Leadership Council. In remarks shown on state television, Arafi said he hoped a new supreme leader would be appointed soon.
The 88-seat Assembly of Experts, composed mostly of hardline clerics, will choose a replacement for Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, who was assassinated on Saturday. But no clear successor has been decided yet.
Lebanon bans Hezbollah
Lebanese Prime Minister Nawaf Salam has announced a ban on all security and military activities of Iran-backed Hezbollah. This was done because Hezbollah had fired missiles at Israel, in response to which Israel had attacked Lebanon.
In a statement, Salam said Hezbollah’s military activities are “unlawful”, and called on the group to “surrender its weapons to the Lebanese government and limit its activities to the political sphere within legal and constitutional limits, thereby maintaining the government’s monopoly on the use of force.”
