Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has said he has offered the United Arab Emirates help to defend itself against Iranian air strikes.
In a long post on Twitter, he expressed concern over the attacks on UAE and said that I have assured the President of UAE of all possible help.
Zelensky wrote on How can we help in the situation? It was agreed that our teams will work on this. Saving lives is a common priority of everyone in the world.
The Kremlin said Russian President Vladimir Putin would convey to Iran the concerns of Arab leaders over Tehran’s attacks on oil infrastructure in the region. Putin held a series of phone calls on Monday with the leaders of four Arab Gulf states, and offered to use Moscow’s ties with Tehran, with which it has a strategic partnership, to ease tensions in the region.
On the other hand, a Qatari official has warned Iran that Iranian attacks “will not go without a response.” Qatar’s Foreign Ministry spokesman Majid Al Ansari said that the Iranian attacks not only targeted military targets but also attacked the entire territory of Qatar. He said an attempt was made to attack Hamad International Airport, and added that more than 8,000 people were stranded due to the closure of the country’s airspace.
