The situation in the Middle East has once again worsened. Despite the ceasefire, enemy countries are targeting each other. When Iran targeted American military bases, in response American troops carried out massive air strikes on Iran’s ‘Qeshm Islands’ group. Here, America claimed that it successfully foiled the Iranian attack. After these attacks, once again the situation between America and Iran seems to be worsening.
On Tuesday, Iran once again launched a barrage of ballistic missiles and drone attacks on American bases in Kuwait. The US Central Command issued a statement saying that Iran had launched several ballistic missiles targeting its neighboring countries, but before they could hit the target accurately, the missiles were aborted in the air. America was enraged by this action of Iran and in response, the American army entered Iranian territory and carried out a major air attack on ‘Qeshm Island’.
Iran attacks American bases in Kuwait-Bahrain
Amid growing instability in the Gulf region, loud explosions were once again heard in many parts of Kuwait. The Kuwaiti air defense network, acting actively, neutralized the wave of incoming air threats. Iran fired several ballistic missiles at regional countries including Kuwait and Bahrain, but most of the missiles were destroyed in the air. According to CENTCOM, two Iranian ballistic missiles launched towards Kuwait were shot down in the air.
America called IRGC’s claim false
Meanwhile, Iran has claimed that it successfully attacked the headquarters of the American Fifth Fleet, but the American Central Command completely rejected these claims and said that all the attacks of Iran failed. In response, the US military fired several missiles targeting radars, drone control sites and air defense systems located in Qeshm Island and Goruk area of Iran.
Response to US attack on Qeshm Island
Iran’s state broadcaster IRIB claimed that the airstrikes deliberately targeted US military infrastructure deployed in Kuwait, and presented the attack as a direct retaliation against recent Western military maneuvers. At the same time, the US Army claimed that two Iranian missiles either missed the target or were destroyed on the way. At the same time, three missiles fired at Bahrain were shot down in the air by the American and Bahraini air defense forces.
