After ending the agreement with Iran, US President Donald Trump has indicated to re-impose blockade in the Strait of Hormuz. Trump said that he can impose blockade in this area again. US Defense Minister Pete Hegseth was responding to the attacks on Iran on Tuesday night.
Meanwhile, Trump expressed his intention to impose Hormuz blockade. Pete Hegseth said, “Anything used to stop shipping in the Strait of Hormuz was our target last night. And tonight, if we need to, on your orders, Mr. President, we will strike even more and more lethally.”
America can capture Kharg
Trump has again threatened that the US could attack Iran’s civilian infrastructure. He may try to capture Kharg Island by breaking the ceasefire. Trump has ended the agreement with Iran on Wednesday. He said that the agreement with Iran cannot survive. This is because Iran is not accepting the terms of the agreement and is lying.
Trump said that talks with Iran are a waste of time. However, he did not deny that America would continue talks with Iran. He said that the American delegation can continue the talks but I do not think it will be of any benefit.
How much crude oil stock does India have?
According to the report, in June the total crude oil stock present in India’s commercial storages and refineries had reached 104 million barrels. According to Kpler report, India consumes about 50 lakh barrels of oil in a day. At present, India has a total capacity of underground petroleum reserves of 53.3 lakh metric tons, which is equivalent to about 39 million barrels of crude oil. According to Angel One report, India’s 5.33 million metric tonnes of crude oil is safe in Visakhapatnam, Mangalore and Padur.
US Central Command said that the US military has taken strict action against Iran after the attack on three merchant ships passing through the Strait of Hormuz. Quoting Iranian state outlet ‘Press TV’, Xinhua news agency reported that explosions were heard near Iran’s Qeshm Island and port cities like Bandar Abbas and Sirik. Three separate attacks on tankers passing through Hormuz were reported by the United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) on 7 July.
