US Vice President JD Vance has clearly said that some people in the Israeli government want to prolong the ongoing conflict with Iran indefinitely. He said this in an interview with podcaster Joe Rogan.
Vance said that some elements of Israel are trying to influence American public opinion so that the war will never end. They have no specific goal, just to keep the war going.
Vance played an important role in the recent ceasefire agreement between Israel and Iran. He said he had witnessed a foreign influence campaign aimed at thwarting this agreement. He said-
“There are some people in the Israeli system who we are sure are trying to manipulate American public opinion so that the war can continue indefinitely.”
Vance alleged that a foreign influence campaign was being run in America on behalf of Israel. According to a news, Israel has spent hundreds of millions of dollars to increase support for the war in America and improve its image. Of these, a lobbying contract worth $45 million was given to former Trump campaign manager Brad Parscale. Some money was also given to online influencers who were attacking Vance. Vance said in a stern tone-
“There is a foreign influence campaign going on to sabotage the deal I am making… and many people who were paid have made false allegations against me… so my answer is go to hell.”
He further said, “I will do what is necessary in the interest of the American people. I represent Americans first and foremost.”
Brad Parscale flatly denied these allegations. He wrote on social media that he did not do anything against the administration or the agreement. This statement of Vance clearly shows the growing differences between America and Israel.
