US-IRAN Conflict: Amidst the ongoing tension in the Middle East, Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has claimed that it has shot down America’s F/A-18 fighter jet using an ‘advanced air defense system’. IRGC also released the video of its shooting. Now America’s reply has come on Iran’s claim. Amid the ongoing war with Iran, the war of words between the two countries has increased.
Iran claimed to have targeted a US fighter jet F/A-18 near Chabahar, a key coastal area near the Gulf of Oman. Iran’s state media Press TV also shared the video of the plane being shot down on social media platform X. But America has called this claim completely false.
Iranian media released video of shooting down of F-18
While posting the video on X, Press TV wrote that the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps has shot down the American F/A-18 jet. The video released is being presented as evidence of the attack, however, the video does not provide any information about the location of the attack, the degree of damage or the condition of the pilot.
America rejected Iran’s claim
Now the United States Central Command (CENTCOM) has rejected this claim, calling it ‘false and misleading’. US Central Command wrote in its The truth is that Iran has not shot down any American fighter jet.”
War of words increased between the two countries
Earlier last week also, Iranian media had claimed that IRGC had shot down American F-15 jets. However, the American Central Command rejected all those claims and said that under Operation Epic Fury, American forces have completed more than 8,000 combat flights, but Iran has not shot down a single American fighter jet. This response of the US directly refutes Tehran’s claim, and shows that along with the ongoing war between the two countries, there is a parallel war going on in Zumbani.
