Israeli action continues against Hezbollah targets in Lebanon. Even though Israel has stopped attacks on Iran after US President Trump’s announcement of ceasefire. But its action on Lebanon continues. The Israeli army is carrying out non-stop bombing in southern Lebanon. Meanwhile, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu suddenly reached southern Lebanon on Sunday. After reaching here, he has also given a special message to his brave soldiers. Netanyahu himself has shared the video of this visit on social media.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu visited southern Lebanon on Sunday (local time) with senior military and defense leadership. According to the Prime Minister’s Office, Netanyahu was accompanied during the visit by Defense Minister Israel Katz, Israel Defense Forces (IDF) Chief of Staff Lieutenant General Eyal Zamir, and Major General Rafi Milo, head of the Northern Command.
PM Netanyahu’s visit to Lebanon
After the tour of southern Lebanon, the Prime Minister also visited an IDF checkpoint near the border, where the Commander of the Galilee Division, Brigadier General Yuval Gage, briefed him on the division’s operations. During this time Netanyahu was wearing a bulletproof jacket, also known as flak vest. It is a type of body armor designed to protect against low-speed projectiles.
Netanyahu gave message to the soldiers
PM Netanyahu has shared the video of this visit on his social media handle, in which he is seen giving a special message to his soldiers. Netanyahu said that the war in Lebanon continues, the war is far from over and Israel’s enemies are now fighting for their survival. During this, Netanyahu was seen surrounded by masked soldiers.
Defense Minister and Chief of Staff also reached Lebanon
Netanyahu further said, “I am here with the Defense Minister, the Chief of Staff, the head of the Northern Command, the division commander and our reserve soldiers. There is a great spirit and readiness to fight here. Our soldiers are fighting very well. The threat of attack from Lebanon has been foiled. Israel has successfully stopped a possible cross-border attack from Lebanon by establishing a security zone.”
Will there be big action on Southern Lebanon?
The Israeli PM further said, “We are eliminating the threat of anti-tank fire and dealing with high-trajectory rockets, but there is still work to do. We have done a huge job, made tremendous achievements and there is still a lot more to do, and we are doing it. One of the things we are seeing here is that we have fundamentally changed the face of the Middle East.”
Regarding the war with Iran, Netanyahu said, “Our enemies – Iran and the ‘Axis of Evil’ – came to destroy us, and now they are fighting only for their survival. We are seeing this on every front. This is a huge achievement for the State of Israel and the Israel Defense Forces, our regular soldiers and our magnificent reserve soldiers. The people of Israel salute you all.”
