A big news is coming amid the Iran-Israel-US war. According to the news of American media outlet CNN, America is ready for the second round of talks but Iran has clearly refused. According to the information received, the US delegation is reaching Islamabad on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, tension still remains high in Hormuz. While America is imposing blockade to create pressure, Iran is also not ready to back down. Ever since the US has seized Iranian cargo, the situation has worsened. Senior Iranian official Ebrahim Zolfgari said that Iran has officially rejected all offers for talks with the US, and also announced that all peace talks are canceled and the Homurz Strait is completely closed again.
Iran clearly denied
Iran’s state news agency IRNA has said that the country has refused to join the second round of peace talks with the US. IRNA also said that the reports regarding the second round of peace talks between Iran and America in Islamabad are not true.
Xinhua news agency gave this information citing a report published in Persian. The agency described the reports from the US as a “media game” and a “blame strategy” aimed at putting pressure on Iran. It said the talks have not progressed so far due to America’s “excessive, irrational and impractical demands, frequently changing stance, contradictory statements and alleged maritime blockade”.
Why doesn’t Iran want to join?
Iran’s official news agency IRNA said the decision not to participate in the talks was taken due to the US’s excessive demands, unrealistic expectations, frequent changes in stance, repeated contradictions and the ongoing blockade.
The developments come as the Iran-US and Israel conflict enters its eighth week, with thousands of people reported dead and the oil market hit by sanctions imposed on the Strait of Hormuz, a vital route for global energy supplies.
Iran has recently imposed a ban on commercial shipping through the Strait of Hormuz. Iran said it will not allow normal movement as long as the US blockade continues.
