
A major plane accident has occurred in Colombia. A Hercules C-130 military aircraft of Lockheed Martin crashed in the southern part of here in which more than 100 soldiers were aboard. This accident happened when the Hercules C-130 aircraft of the country’s Air Force was taking off from Puerto Leguizamo. There were soldiers in the plane. However, the number of dead or injured is not yet clear. Looking at the video that has emerged from the accident site, it seems that hardly anyone is left alive.
According to Colombia’s Defense Minister Pedro Arnulfo Sanchez, the accident occurred in the Puerto Leguizamo (Putumayo) area, where the plane suddenly crashed while taking off. A large number of military personnel were on board the plane, which has further increased the horror of this accident. Initial reports suggest that around 110 people are feared dead, although no official confirmation has been made yet.
The fire that broke out in the plane after the accident made the rescue work more difficult. Military and relief teams reached the spot immediately after the incident. The work of evacuating the injured and extinguishing the fire is going on. The entire area has been sealed. At present the reasons for the accident are not clear. Technical fault, human error or other reasons are being investigated.

According to eyewitnesses, the plane crashed just minutes after takeoff and the incident occurred just 3 kilometers away from the urban area. Rescue teams have reached the spot and investigation into the matter has been started. However, officials have not yet confirmed the official number of dead or injured.
