Air India and Air India Express have drastically reduced most of their flights to Dubai and Abu Dhabi on March 15, 2026, following instructions from the UAE Airports Authority. The airline said in an official statement that it has had to significantly reduce ad-hoc (temporary) operations for today, March 15, following the latest instructions from UAE airport authorities.
Many Air India flights canceled today
As per the new directive, most of the scheduled flights have been cancelled, while only a limited number of flights are able to operate. Passengers have been advised to immediately check the status of their flight on the Air India website or app.
According to the latest instructions from the airport authorities, this decision has been taken due to shortage of slots and restrictions on ad-hoc operations. All these flights are being operated subject to the availability of slots, prevailing conditions and instructions of the airport authority. Airlines have appealed to passengers to confirm flight status before going to the airport and be prepared to make alternative arrangements. Refund or rebooking options are being provided to affected passengers.
