Team India has to play the next ODI series against Afghanistan, which will start from June 13. Before the series, news came that Virat Kohli was out due to hamstring injury. Now veteran batsman and former captain Rohit Sharma is also in danger of being out.
News agency ANI quoted BCCI source as saying that Rohit Sharma is doubtful for the Afghanistan ODI series, that is, it is not certain that he will play. Let us tell you that Rohit had missed some IPL matches due to hamstring injury. Although Hitman has been included in India’s squad, his playing will depend on his fitness.
However, it is worth noting that till now no official information has been given by the Board of Control for Cricket in India i.e. BCCI regarding the injury and fitness update of Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma.
Team India will be in trouble without Rohit-Virat
In the absence of stalwarts like Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli, Team India may be in trouble in the ODI series against Afghanistan. The experience of both the players will be very important for the series. Now it will be interesting to see whether both are able to play in the series or not.
Test match will be held before the ODI series
A test match will be played between India and Afghanistan before the ODI series. The test will start from 6th June. The only test will be played at the Maharaja Yadvendra Singh International Cricket Stadium in New Chandigarh.
After this the ODI series will start. The first 50 over match will be held on June 13 at the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium in Dharamshala. After this, the second ODI will be held on June 17 at Ekana Stadium in Lucknow. Then the third and final match of the series will be held on June 20 at MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. In this way the three-match ODI series has been scheduled.
