US President Donald Trump said on Wednesday that whenever Iran targets a ship passing through Hormuz, the US will destroy it by bombing a bridge or power plant.
Earlier, Trump had told journalists that America would soon attack the area where Iran is said to have a nuclear site.
Trump wrote on ‘Truth Social’, “From now on, whenever the Islamic Republic of Iran attacks a ship in the Strait of Hormuz, whether with a missile, rocket, drone or any other device or weapon, the United States will destroy a bridge or power plant by bombing it. This will also include bridges or power plants located near or within the city of the capital, Tehran.”
Trump has previously threatened to target Iranian civilian infrastructure, which could be considered a war crime. In an interview last week, he also said that if Iran is not ready for talks, America will destroy all its bridges.
Now will Saudi Arabia make nuclear weapons?
On the other hand, US President Donald Trump has approved a nuclear deal that allows Saudi Arabia to enrich its own fuel for civilian reactors, according to a US official.
Reports of the deal sparked anger in Israel, where political opponents of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu raised the risk that enriched nuclear fuel could potentially allow Riyadh to build nuclear weapons.
