US President Donald Trump has given a clear warning to Iran. He said that if Iran does not stop its proxy organization Hezbollah from creating trouble in Lebanon, then America will attack Iran very strongly.
Trump wrote on Truth Social, “Iran must immediately stop its expensive proxies from causing trouble in Lebanon. If they don’t do this, we will hit Iran as hard as we did last week, but even harder!”
This time Trump has put all the blame on Hezbollah. He did not even take the name of Israel. In the last few days, Trump has criticized Israel’s actions in Lebanon. He had said that Israel’s action is being taken without thinking. Trump also did not say that Israel should withdraw its troops from southern Lebanon. This is what Iran is demanding.
An agreement (MOU) was signed between America and Iran. In this, both the countries had promised not to attack or threaten each other. But Trump is now again threatening Iran. This statement comes amid increasing tension in Lebanon. Trump’s focus is on keeping Hezbollah under control.
There was a direct conflict between the US-Israel and Iran in February 2026, in which the US and Israel attacked Iran’s nuclear sites, navy and top leaders. Iran responded by firing missiles and closing the Strait of Hormuz.
MOU was signed between America and Iran on 17 June 2026. This included issues like ceasefire, opening of the Strait of Hormuz, relaxation of sanctions and economic assistance. Both sides promised not to use or threaten force against each other. Trump is issuing threats despite the MOU, which appears to conflict with the “non-use of force” part of the agreement. There are 60 days of talks going on between the US and Iran, which include the nuclear issue, sanctions and reconstruction. Lebanon’s instability could jeopardize the entire agreement.
