One such shocking case has come to light from Britain, where gross negligence of a dentist has changed the entire life of a 22 year old girl. At the age when youth spread their beautiful smiles, this girl had to lose all her teeth. Due to wrong treatment by the dentist, she is now completely dependent on a set of artificial teeth i.e. dentures.
A girl suddenly started having a slight pain in her teeth. Initially he thought it was a normal cavity or gum problem, which can be cured with medicines or simple treatment. With this hope he contacted the dentist and got his treatment started. The girl had full faith in her doctor that he would relieve her of this pain, but she had no idea that this decision of hers would be the biggest mistake of her life.
Dentist gave wrong treatment indiscriminately
According to the report, the dentist was grossly negligent in identifying the actual dental problem of the girl. He started giving the girl such therapy and treatment which her teeth did not require. The doctor completely ignored the girl’s tooth decay and severe gum disease for a long time. The result was that the infection gradually spread through the gums to the jaw bones. By the time the girl came to know about this terrible situation, it was too late.
Now the girl had to wear a fake lamp
When the tooth pain became completely unbearable, the suffering girl approached other big experts. After hearing what the doctors revealed after the examination there, the ground slipped under the girl’s feet. The doctors made it clear that due to previous wrong treatment, all his teeth had completely decayed from inside, which could no longer be saved under any circumstances. Now to stop him from progressing and to save his life, at the age of just 22 he had to have all his teeth removed permanently. Now he is forced to live without teeth and has to get artificial teeth to eat and talk.
Court taught a tough lesson to the doctor
Even after going through this unbearable physical pain and mental stress, the girl did not lose courage and approached the court against the accused dentist. During the court hearing, the negligence of the doctors was completely proved. It became clear that if the girl had received proper treatment early on, her teeth could have been saved. The court considered this matter very serious and ordered to pay huge compensation to the guilty dentist. However, the victim says that the money received as compensation can never bring back her original teeth and her old life.
