French President Emmanuel Macron made a shock announcement on Friday, saying he will leave politics after his current term ends in 2027.
“I [राष्ट्रपति बनने से पहले] Was not involved in politics and will not be later also.”
He made the announcement while speaking to students at the French-Cypriot School in Nicosia during a two-day visit to Cyprus for the European Council meetings.
Current term ends in 2027
In 2017, Macron became the youngest President of France at the age of 39. He was re-elected to this post after the elections in 2022. His current term ends in 2027, and according to the French Constitution, no leader can be elected president for a third consecutive term.
