Last week, complete preparations were made to launch a major attack on Iran, but it was stopped at the last moment. Israeli Air Force Chief Major General Omer Tischler has confirmed this. He told that the entire Air Force was ready. Briefing was going on in the squadrons. Everything was stopped just an hour before the attack.
The Israeli Air Force chief said that the air force was ready for a massive attack on the afternoon of 8 June 2026. This attack was going to happen at hundreds of places inside Iran. This incident occurred during the conflict that broke out between Israel and Iran last week. This was the first major confrontation since the ceasefire in early April 2026. Major General Omar Tishler told-
“The following afternoon the entire air force was ready to take off for a massive attack. Preparations were underway to attack hundreds of targets by arming, planning and preparing the entire fleet, shortening the alert period just hours before the attack was ordered, but the attack was halted during a briefing at the squadrons.”
The entire Israeli Air Force was ready for this operation. US President Donald Trump spoke several times on the phone with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Trump said that if Israel increases attacks, it will be left alone. Netanyahu agreed with Trump and ordered to stop the attack. After this, an agreement was reached between America and Iran, due to which efforts began to end the war.
Hezbollah fired rockets at northern Israel. In response, Israel attacked the Dahiyeh area of Beirut. After this, Iran fired 24 ballistic missiles at Israel, while Yemen’s Houthi rebels also fired two missiles. Israel responded by attacking Iran. The Air Force went 1500 kilometers away and caused a lot of damage to Iran’s air defense systems and also attacked some factories, but the big attack that was about to happen did not happen.
The Air Force carried out attacks inside Iran in two waves. The first wave targeted nine air defense systems in western and central Iran. In the second wave, three factories in the petrochemical complex in southwestern Iran were attacked, which were involved in the production of raw materials for missiles.
