Ayatollah Ali Khamenei Funeral: People from all over the world are going to gather at the funeral of Iran’s former Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. However, there is little possibility of his son and Iran’s current Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei attending his funeral. The decision not to attend Mojtaba’s funeral is being taken due to security reasons. India’s representative of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Hakim Ilahi has given this information.

Why will Mojtaba not attend his father’s funeral?

After the death of Ayatollah Khamenei, his son Mojtaba Khamenei was elected the Supreme Leader of Iran. However, he has not yet appeared in public since the US and Israeli attack on February 28. The possibility of him attending his father’s funeral is also considered very less.

Elahi cited Israeli threats and serious surveillance risks as the main reasons for not attending Mojtaba’s father’s funeral. Even though an agreement has been reached between America and Iran and talks are going on, the tension still persists. On the other hand, they are being continuously threatened by Israel. Recently Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz had threatened to assassinate Mojtaba Khamenei, which enraged Iran.

Mojtaba Khamenei was injured in the attack

On February 28, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei was killed in joint attacks by America and Israel. Mojtaba Khamenei was also injured in these attacks. He was found to have serious injuries on his face and a wound on his leg. Various claims were also made on Mojtaba’s health. However, Iran has said that Mojtaba is completely healthy.
