Trump Signature On US Currency: The war between America and Iran has been going on in the Middle East for the last 28 days. Meanwhile, it is being told that a 165 year old tradition is going to be broken in America. Actually, now President Trump’s signature will be visible in the new American currency. This announcement has attracted the attention of the whole world, because it will be the first time that the signature of a sitting President will be featured on the currency.
Let us tell you, this big decision has been taken on the occasion of 250th independence year. The US Treasury Department announced this on Thursday. Interestingly, from 1861 till now, the American currency used to have the signature of ‘Treasurer of the United States’, which has now been decided to be removed. With this the 165 year old tradition will now be broken.
Finance Minister’s signature will be with Trump
According to the Treasury, new $100 notes will be printed from June, which will bear the signature of President Donald Trump. Not only this, the new 100 dollar notes will also have the signature of Finance Minister Scott Bessant along with Trump. After this, notes of other denominations will also be issued gradually. According to Finance Minister Scott Besant, this initiative has been taken to reflect the country’s economic progress and historical achievements.
Trump’s photo on gold coin
Apart from this, on the occasion of completion of 250 years of America’s independence, a special 24 carat gold commemorative coin with Trump’s picture will also be launched. This proposed 24-carat gold coin depicts Trump bent over the ‘Resolute Desk’ with clenched fists.
However, this is not the first time that a sitting President’s photo is being printed on a commemorative gold coin. Earlier, Calvin Coolidge was seen with George Washington in the commemorative coin issued in 1926 on the completion of 150 years of America’s independence. Interestingly, US law generally does not allow the image of a living president to be printed on currency.
American Independence Day on 4th July
It is noteworthy that America had declared independence on July 4, 1776. On this day, the American Declaration of Independence was adopted, in which 13 American colonies declared independence from Great Britain. For this reason, Independence Day is celebrated in America every year on 4th July.
