US Attack on Iran: The peace deal between America and Iran could not last even for two weeks. On Saturday, America launched a major military attack on Iran for the second time within 24 hours. The US Army conducted air strikes on several military bases of Iran located near the Strait of Hormuz. After this attack, President Donald Trump has given a strong warning to Iran. Trump said that if Iran does not desist from its actions, the US military will carry out its operation completely. He said in a strict tone that in such a situation the existence of ‘Islamic Republic of Iran’ will cease.
Surprisingly, recently a ceasefire was agreed upon between Washington and Tehran. But after this action of America, the tension between the two countries may again reach its peak.
Why did the US Army take action?
According to the US Central Command (CENTCOM), this action taken by the US has been taken in response to Iran’s continuous violations of the ceasefire agreement. The US has claimed that on Thursday Iran attacked the cargo ship Ever Lovely near the Strait of Hormuz. In response to this attack, the US Army took action against Iranian military bases on Friday.
Iran attacked for the second time in 24 hours
However, the US Central Command alleges that despite this, a drone attack on another oil tanker/M/T Kiku on Saturday morning violated the ceasefire. According to CENTCOM, this tanker was passing near Hormuz carrying two million or more than 2 million barrels of crude oil, when it was targeted. After this attack, on the orders of the US President, Iranian targets were targeted for the second time in 24 hours.
Which targets were targeted?
The US Army claims that Iran’s missile and drone storage centers, military surveillance centers, communication systems, radar sites and bases related to laying mines in the sea were targeted. According to US officials, the purpose of these attacks was apparently to weaken Iran’s military capability.
Trump threatened to wipe out existence
After the US attack on Iran, Donald Trump wrote on Truth Social, ‘US aircraft have just attacked Iran’s missile and drone storage facilities and coastal radar sites, because they have again violated the ceasefire agreement! Chances are they’ll never learn! There may come a time when we can no longer act wisely and we will be forced to complete through military means the work which we had started with great success. If this happens, the Islamic Republic of Iran will cease to exist!’
Loud explosions heard in southern Iran too
Iran’s state media IRIB, quoting a military source, said that several loud explosions were heard near the southern city of Sirik and Qeshm Island. Several projectiles hit a telecommunications tower. However, no further information has been given regarding this yet.
