Pakistan Warns India over Indus Water: After the Pahalgam terrorist attack, India canceled the Indus Water Treaty and shut down Pakistan’s hookah water to such an extent that its frustration is still visible. According to reports, while addressing a joint press conference with Pakistan’s Information Minister Attaullah Tarar, Minister Musadiq Malik said, ‘We have announced that whoever touches our water, they will cut off their hands. Not only have they announced, they have shown it twice in the last one and a half to two years. But it is also a question of justice. We will save ourselves, we have shown twice that there is no water, even if you put your hand on the air, we will hold your hand. Has everyone got this right? The people living at the top will stop the water from the people living at the slopes, has this right been given to the world?
‘Control of a tap in the hands of the PM of the neighboring country’
According to Pakistani newspaper ‘Dawn’, Musaddiq Malik further said, ‘The Prime Minister of a neighboring country has control of a tap in his hands. He says that he will not allow even a single drop of water to flow into Pakistan. After this he issued a stern warning, saying, ‘We will cut off those hands that claim our share in the water.’ Videos of Malik’s statement are becoming increasingly viral on social media, but they cannot be independently verified.
Indus water agreement is still fully implemented – Pak minister
At the same time, Pakistani Information Minister Attaullah Tarar also claimed that the Indus Water Agreement is fully applicable even today. According to him, India can neither unilaterally cancel it, nor suspend it, nor make changes in it. Pakistan is definitely making noises, but its desperation behind it is also clearly visible.
