A billboard was seen in the Islamic Revolution Square in the center of the city of Tehran in Iran, depicting US President Donald Trump lying on what appears to be a coffin with anti-Trump messages written on it, including the slogan “We will kill Trump”.
The picture on the billboard shows Donald Trump lying with his eyes closed in an open black coffin. “We Kill Trump” is clearly written in English on the billboard.
This billboard has come a few days after Trump expressed fear of a plot to assassinate him on Iran. A mural has also been painted just below the billboard, which reads “In memory of the children of Meenab”. It was reminiscent of the attack that hit a primary school in the Iranian city of Minab on the first day of the conflict, killing more than 150 children, including 120 girls.
Mojtaba Khamenei’s strong statement
Iran’s new supreme leader Mojtaba Khamenei issued a statement in this tense environment. He said that the blood of martyrs will definitely be avenged from the criminals who are committing such acts. He called it a demand of the entire country and said that vengeance will definitely be taken.
Israeli warning
Israel has given intelligence to America that Iran is planning a new conspiracy to assassinate Trump. During the NATO summit in Türkiye, Trump himself admitted that he was on Iran’s hit list. He said, “I am on every list of theirs. So far I have been lucky, but this will not last forever. These are evil and ill-minded people. We have to root out this cancer.”
US security agencies are also alert about Trump’s security and have been gathering information about possible assassination plans in recent weeks. Even during the funeral of former Supreme Leader of Iran Ali Khamenei, posters saying “Kill Trump” were seen in many cities of Iran. Now this new billboard is making the growing conflict between the two countries more serious.
Ceasefire broken, attacks intensify
The ceasefire between the two countries has been completely broken. The US has attacked Iranian missile sites and coastal areas and imposed a naval blockade. In response, Iran has fired missiles at US military bases located in Kuwait, Bahrain and Jordan.
Due to these incidents, the movement of ships in the Strait of Hormuz located in the Persian Gulf has once again come to a standstill. This route is the route for about 20 percent of the world’s oil and gas trade, causing global energy prices to rise rapidly.
