Since when did the entire family start traveling with the President?” Another user wrote, “So Trump took almost everyone with him to China, but Melania didn’t come?” Eric posted a photo with his wife on X (Twitter), which brought him even more criticism.
When the controversy escalated, the Trump family started trying to handle it. A spokesperson for the Trump family said that Eric was there in a personal capacity. “He did not participate in private meetings, but instead stood with the President to mark this historic occasion,” the statement clarified. Let us tell you that Eric is the third child and second son of Donald Trump and his first wife, Ivana. 42-year-old Eric is the trustee and executive vice president of ‘The Trump Organization’.
Eric Trump and Lara got married in 2014. The couple has two children. Lara has been a loyal supporter of her father-in-law’s political career since his first campaign in 2016. Trump’s delegation to China also included SpaceX and Tesla CEO Elon Musk and NVIDIA chief Jensen Huang.
