According to media reports, US President Donald Trump has ordered the deployment of America’s deadly ‘Joint Air-to-Surface Standoff Missile-Extended Range’ (JASSM-ER) cruise missiles in Iran.
This step has come at a time when Sunday was the 36th day of the ongoing war in the Middle East between America, Israel and Iran.
Iran is already under pressure from the 48-hour ultimatum issued by Trump a few hours ago. In this ultimatum, Tehran has been given a deadline to open the Strait of Hormuz, and it has been said, “Time is passing fast. After 48 hours, havoc will befall them. Glory to God!”
‘Joint Air-to-Surface Standoff Missile-Extended Range’ (JASSM-ER) cruise missiles are missiles capable of long-range precision strikes. These can hit targets at a distance of more than 600 miles. According to reports, these missiles will be deployed from stockpiles built at several strategic locations across the world.
The looming threat of these deadly missiles came to light when Trump said that the US will “continue to completely destroy Iran, or as they say, send it back to the ‘Stone Ages’.”
Iran has strongly retaliated against Trump’s 48-hour ultimatum. General Ali Abdullahi Aliabadi of ‘Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters’ said that Trump’s message simply means that “the gates of hell will open for you.”
He added, “After repeatedly accepting defeat, this hawkish President of the United States has made a desperate, panic-stricken, unbalanced and foolish move to threaten Iran’s infrastructure and national assets.”
