Iran Israel War: There has been an atmosphere of mysterious peace in the Middle East for the last 100 hours. After Israel’s attacks and Iran’s retaliation, America has remained silent for four days, while no one knows President Trump’s next plan. On 28 February 2026, Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei was assassinated in Israeli air strikes, following which the conflict erupted.
Iran responded by firing ballistic missiles and closing the Strait of Hormuz to the US and its allies. The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) claimed that its attacks caused heavy damage to American targets. Trump threatened to attack Iran’s energy bases, but so far American bombers, missiles and warships are inactive. Iran’s ‘energy war’ strategy
The IRGC has hit four targets simultaneously, turning the conflict into an energy war. The first target is the Strait of Hormuz, which is the route for 20% of global oil and is now closed to American ships. Second, attacks on Israeli power plants and nuclear sites. Third, oil-gas bases of Gulf countries (Saudi, UAE, Qatar). Fourth, projects and military bases of American companies.
Trump’s dilemma
Trump twice warned of final attack, but Iran did not back down from ‘energy deterrence’. Iran clearly said that if its energy sources are attacked, it will destroy the oil wells of the entire region. Hormuz is closed till the 29th day of the war, oil prices are skyrocketing. If this strategy of IRGC is successful, America and Israel may suffer an economic and military blow.
Will the catastrophe be averted through talks?
At present, it is a matter of relief that Iran has not fully implemented its dreadful plan. Claims of diplomatic talks are still being made behind the scenes. But the way both sides are threatening to destroy each other’s infrastructure, it is clear that the situation can go out of control at any moment.
