Yemen’s Houthi rebels, aligned with Iran, confirmed on Saturday that they had launched an attack on Israel for the first time in the ongoing Israel-US war against Iran.
With this attack they have joined the conflict, increasing the possibility of a major conflict in the entire region. Earlier, Israel had said that it was trying to stop a missile coming from Yemen.
The group said the attack, which was accompanied by a volley of missiles, follows a series of attacks on infrastructure in Iran, Lebanon, Iraq and the Palestinian territories. He also said that his operations will continue until the ongoing “aggression” on all fronts ends.
Attack on Iran with more than 50 fighter planes
On the other hand, Israel Defense Forces (IDF) has claimed that more than 50 fighter planes attacked Iran’s infrastructure in three different areas. These areas include a facility used for weapons production, a site belonging to Iran’s Ministry of Defense (MOD) used for the development and production of advanced explosive devices, and a site used for the production of parts for ballistic missiles and anti-aircraft missiles.
At the same time, a spokesman for the National Security Committee of the Iranian Parliament said that any attack on Kharg Island will be given a strong response and no attacker will survive.
