Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu spoke with US President Donald Trump on the issue of war with Iran, minutes before convening a limited security discussion this evening. Netanyahu’s office has confirmed this.
This conversation has taken place at a time when there are reports that America and Israel are preparing to restart the war with Iran. According to Hebrew media reports, the two leaders also discussed the possibility of resuming war with Iran as well as Trump’s recent visit to China.
‘Our eyes are open regarding Iran’
“Our eyes are open regarding Iran,” Netanyahu said during the weekly cabinet meeting on Sunday. Referring to Trump, he added, “I would certainly listen to his thoughts about his visit to China, and maybe a few other things as well. Certainly, there are many possibilities, and we are prepared for every situation.”
Last week, Trump visited China for a summit with Chinese President Xi Jinping. He said Xi had offered to help open the Strait of Hormuz, a vital route for global oil supplies that is blocked by Iran, and the Chinese leader had also promised not to send any military equipment to Iran to help in the war.
On Sunday, after returning from China, Trump shared an AI-generated graphic showing him and a US Navy admiral standing in front of stormy waters; There were many ships in these waters, one of which had the Iranian flag on it. The caption accompanying the graphic said, “This was the calm before the storm.”
Last week it was reported that Israel and America are making vigorous preparations to attack Iran again, and it is possible that these attacks may begin this week.
