US President Donald Trump has promised a strong response after Iranian ballistic missiles attacked US forces in Jordan. “We will defeat them badly,” he said.
According to American media, Trump said, “We will attack them strongly. They will have to face a severe beating.”
Trump said he had seen footage of the missile interception. In this, American soldiers were keeping an eye on the incoming ballistic missiles in real-time, giving information about their coordinates and destroying every missile in the air before it could hit the base.
New sanctions on eight tankers and 10 entities linked to Iran
The US has imposed new sanctions on eight tankers and 10 entities linked to Iran, according to a notice posted on the US Treasury Department website. According to the notice, out of the entities on which sanctions have been imposed today, 6 are based in China.
These sanctions have been imposed after US President Donald Trump’s statement in which he had talked about taking strict action against Iran. Trump said this in an interview with the American media when the US Army said that it had stopped several ballistic missiles fired by Iran towards the US military in the Middle East.
At least 20 people were killed and 32 injured in joint attacks by US and Saudi Arabian forces on logistics and weapons bases linked to Iran in Iraq, according to a statement issued on Telegram by the Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF).
According to preliminary information, the PMF said that these attacks targeted PMF bases in Baghdad, Wasit, Nineveh, Basra, Kirkuk, Karbala and Diyala provinces, causing varying degrees of damage to many military headquarters, vehicles and equipment.
