Afghanistan has launched a major attack by entering inside Pakistan. The Afghan Defense Ministry has openly taken responsibility for carrying out airstrikes overnight inside the Pakistani border. These attacks have been carried out in response to Pakistan’s recent airstrike. Afghanistan’s Defense Ministry issued a statement claiming that Afghan forces have carried out successful attacks on terrorist camps and hideouts of Islamic State Khorasan Province (ISIS-K) in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) and Balochistan provinces of Pakistan. The Taliban has said that it has completely destroyed the terrorist camps.
According to the Taliban, there were safe havens of terrorists in Gulistan area of Kila Abdullah district of Balochistan, Shakar Ab Jangal Gardi of Chagi district and Orakzai area of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, which were completely destroyed in the air strikes. The Kabul administration took a tough stance, saying that the areas targeted had long been used as a major launch pad for planning and carrying out attacks against Afghanistan.
