Former Prime Minister and founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan is currently lodged in Adiala Jail in Rawalpindi. He is serving jail sentence in corruption cases. Meanwhile, once again big news has come out regarding his health. Imran Khan was facing problems in his eyes for the last few days. Meanwhile, without giving any information to the family, his eyes were operated overnight. He was taken to the hospital at midnight and after the operation, he was shifted to jail. Now a large number of his supporters are gathering to meet him outside Adiala Jail.
Former Prime Minister Imran Khan was taken from Adiala Jail in Rawalpindi to Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) in Islamabad at midnight. Pakistan’s Information and Broadcasting Minister Attaullah Tarar told the media on Thursday that Imran Khan was suffering from eye problems for the last few days. After preliminary examination at Adiala Jail itself, specialist doctors advised that he be taken to PIMS for further examination and necessary treatment.
Even the family was not informed about the operation
The minister further said that on the advice of doctors, the former Prime Minister was taken to the hospital on Saturday night, where his eyes were re-examined and after obtaining his written consent, a minor operation was carried out which lasted for about 20 minutes. His health remained completely stable during the procedure and all vital signs were normal. After treatment, he was sent back to Adiala jail with necessary medical instructions.
Debate broke out on Imran Khan’s health on social media
Meanwhile, there has been a debate going on for a long time on Pakistan’s social media regarding the health of Imran Khan. His supporters are claiming that his condition has worsened in jail. Imran Khan’s party PTI had earlier expressed serious concern over his eye condition and claimed that not getting timely treatment could lead to permanent damage to his vision. Now even the family members and lawyers were not informed about this operation in advance, on which the opposition parties have raised questions.
Supporters gathered outside Adiala Jail
Here, as soon as the information about Imran Khan’s eye operation was received, supporters started gathering outside Adiala jail to meet him. Khan’s legal team has also filed a petition in the Anti-Terrorism Court, demanding permission for his personal doctors and specialists to visit him in jail. A large number of supporters are gathering outside the jail, in such a situation the situation in Pakistan is expected to worsen once again.
