The tremors of the earthquake were so strong that people came out of their homes in panic. The US Geological Survey (USGS) reported that the epicenter of the earthquake was 68 kilometers east of Bakulin city.
Strong earthquake hits Philippines
According to the US Geological Survey, this earthquake was 10 kilometers below the depth of the earth. At present there is no immediate news of any damage due to the earthquake. In Hinatuan too, people came out of their homes in fear after feeling the tremors of the earthquake. This earthquake that occurs in the sea is called offshore temblor.
Tsunami warning is not in force at present
Joey Monato, local police chief of Hinatuan city in Surigao del Sur province, said that the earthquake was not so strong, but people got scared and came out of their homes. Children, old people and young people all got scared after feeling the earthquake tremors. At present, there is tension due to the earthquake.
