Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath reached Tokyo on Wednesday on an official visit to Japan. CM was warmly welcomed at the airport. Vice Governor Junichi Ishidera and members of the Indian community were present to welcome him. This is the Chief Minister’s first official visit to Japan. The objective of which is to strengthen investment opportunities and industrial growth in the state. CM has written a special message while sharing the pictures of the trip on X.

CM Yogi Adityanath is going to be on an official visit to Japan on 25-26 February. This is the second phase of his foreign trip. CM Yogi arrived in Tokyo from Singapore, where he was welcomed by Lieutenant Governor Junichi Ishidera and members of the Indian expatriate community.

While sharing the pictures of the grand welcome held in Tokyo, CM Yogi wrote in his X post, ‘Aditya’ of the holy land of Lord Shri Ram, greetings to the innovative land of the rising sun. Let us inform that during this visit, CM Yogi will take part in necessary meetings and talks with the aim of strengthening the relations between the two countries and exploring investment opportunities for the state.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath held a meeting with Senior Managing Executive Officer, Executive General Manager, Incharge of Sales Management Division/Domestic Business, Shigeki Tanabe and his team of Konoike Transport Company Limited in Tokyo today. Along with this, he held a meeting with Kazuki Shimizu, Chief Operating Officer, Managing Officer of Mitsui & Company’s Infrastructure Projects Business Unit and senior members of his team in Tokyo.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said, “Today, under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi, our governments are working to advance the programs of Ramayana Circuit as well as Buddhist Circuit to advance religious tourism in Uttar Pradesh… Programs of mutual cooperation on many issues have progressed between India and Japan. When I talk about Uttar Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh is the largest state in India by population. The bigger the population there, the bigger are the challenges and the bigger are the challenges, the bigger are the possibilities.”

Earlier, CM Yogi said that during the meetings in Singapore, the state has received investment proposals worth up to Rs 1 lakh crore, of which Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) worth Rs 60,000 crore have already been finalised, calling it a big step towards transforming the state into a $1 trillion economy. The Chief Minister said, “I can assure you that every investment coming to Uttar Pradesh is safe. We not only provided a safe environment, but also showed how to combine scale with skill and speed.”
