Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu says the conflict with Iran will end when its government collapses, or when Iran realizes the cost of causing economic chaos around the world, killing thousands of its own citizens and shooting at everyone in between.
He said that the war would end when this government would either be toppled or become so weak that it would realize that it would have to end its nuclear program.
‘Iran’s nuclear program must end’
In an interview, Netanyahu said that with or without a deal, Iran’s nuclear program must end. Netanyahu warned Iran that if Israel was targeted, it would attack the Islamic country strongly.
“If Iran or its allies attack Israel, they will make a huge mistake, because our response, that is, Israel’s response, will be very forceful,” Netanyahu said.
He says that he is not focusing on presenting new information in the meeting with US President Donald Trump, because the intelligence agencies of both the countries are cooperating very closely. Regarding the future of the conflict with Iran, Netanyahu said, “It’s good to sit down with my good friend President Trump and know what’s on his mind, because I think in many ways the decision is his.”
Netanyahu says he is “absolutely” coming to New York for the UN General Assembly in September, and New York City Mayor Zoran Mamdani is “spreading hatred” against Jews.
He said, “I intend to come there and speak the truth, and make the case for Israel and the Israeli-American alliance from the UN platform.” Netanyahu says Mamdani is “supporting the killers of Hamas”. He says he is “very concerned” about leaving the Democratic Party.
