Poland’s Deputy Foreign Minister Władysław Teofil Bartoszewski has recently claimed that on the advice of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Russian President Vladimir Putin had stopped the use of tactical nuclear weapons against Ukraine at the end of 2022.

Poland had earlier criticized India’s buying of cheap oil from Russia, as it was helping Russia’s war economy. But now Bartoszewski said he understood India’s economic reasons, Russian oil was being sold about 40 percent cheaper than the market price. Poland now understands this need of India.
