Talks were going on regarding the agreement between America and Iran. Trump was continuously claiming that the deal was about to be finalized. The latest tension increased when Iran attacked several ships in the Strait of Hormuz, in response to which the US took this action.
After the American attacks, Iran’s southern port city Chabahar has been completely plunged into darkness and there has been a power failure. According to Iranian government media agency ‘IRNA’, about 10 loud explosions were heard in Chabahar and the nearby coastal city of Konark. Media reports also said that these attacks had an impact on other areas as well, under which there were reports of massive explosions near the city of Bushehr (where the nuclear power plant is located), Abu Musa Island and the village of Tahraoui in Serik.
At the same time, counterattack is also being done from Iran’s side. Missile and drone attacks were carried out on US military bases in Bahrain and Kuwait, due to which tension in the Middle East has again reached its peak. Due to these attacks, the security system in the Gulf region has been put on high alert and a huge jump is being recorded in the prices of crude oil globally.
