Iran’s Revolutionary Guards (IRGC) have warned against crossing the Strait of Hormuz without permission, saying ships that do not follow rules will be dealt with and criticized a new route through the waterway.
On the other hand, Donald Trump has again stressed that Iran has agreed that there will be no toll or cost on ships using the Strait of Hormuz. He said on Truth Social that “If this is false information, the conversation will end immediately!”
Tehran has said it plans to impose ‘Maritime Service Fee’ (Maritime Service Fee) instead of toll in future, while the US argues that it is an international waterway and therefore there should be no fee for passing through it.
“The only authorized route through the Strait of Hormuz is the one announced by the Islamic Republic of Iran,” the Revolutionary Guards said Thursday. He warned in a statement that crossing without permission was “unacceptable and extremely dangerous”.
He also criticized some officials’ announcement of a new route through the waterway, although he did not elaborate.
He reiterated his point that America has not given any money to Iran nor has it returned any of their money to them. After this, Trump again said that American farmers will benefit from the US-Iran deal. He said that Washington will give some of their money – which we completely control – to our farmers and ranchers, so that they can buy corn, wheat, soybeans and other things.” He further said, “Iran is in great need of food and drink, and we will buy these things for them only from America.
