Earthquake: दो देशों में कांपी धरती, वेनेजुएला में 7.5 तीव्रता के भूकंप से गिरी इमारत तो जापान में भी जोरदार झटके हुए महसूस; दहशत में लोग

Strong earthquake tremors have been felt simultaneously in two countries of the world. People in Venezuela went into panic after feeling two consecutive tremors one after the other. The intensity of the earthquake was so high that buildings in the capital Caracas collapsed. Due to the strong earthquake, there were cracks in the walls of many houses. To save their lives, they started running out of their homes and onto the streets. At the same time, people in Japan also got scared after feeling the tremendous tremors of the earthquake. The intensity of the earthquake in Japan was recorded at 6.9.

Two earthquakes of magnitude 7.1 and 7.5 were felt within a minute in Venezuela. This is one of the most powerful earthquakes to hit the country in the last hundred years. A 22-storey building has collapsed due to the earthquake in the capital Caracas. At the same time, a strong earthquake of 6.9 magnitude occurred in northern Japan on Thursday. However, it is a matter of relief that after this no tsunami warning has been issued nor is there any news of any major damage.

Two earthquakes one after the other in Venezuela

Two powerful earthquakes occurred one after the other in Venezuela on Wednesday evening, shaking the capital Caracas and collapsing many buildings on the Caribbean coast. The US Geological Survey (USGS) reported that the first tremor was of 7.1 magnitude and the second tremor that occurred a few minutes later was even stronger, registering a magnitude of 7.5.

Such a powerful earthquake occurred after a hundred years

According to reports, the first earthquake occurred at a depth of 13 kilometers west of ‘Moron’, a coastal area located about 168 kilometers west of Caracas. People had not yet recovered when a second major shock occurred, whose epicenter was just 16 kilometers south-west of Moron at a depth of 10 kilometers. The tremors of these earthquakes, which came one after the other, were felt in many states, after which there was great panic among the people.

Due to the strong tremors of the earthquake in the capital Caracas, buildings started shaking and people came out on the streets. Many people spent the whole night on the road in fear. The goods kept in the houses also suffered huge damage. The USGS reported the epicenter of both earthquakes near Moron on Venezuela’s Caribbean coast. The Pacific Tsunami Warning Center issued a tsunami alert for Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands and warned coastal areas to be alert for any surge in water levels following the strong earthquake. Earthquake experts said there was a possibility of more aftershocks and advised caution near damaged buildings.

At the same time, in Japan too, people are in panic due to earthquake tremors. According to the Japan Meteorological Agency, strong earthquake tremors were felt near the Iwate region of northern Japan. The epicenter of this earthquake was at a depth of 50 kilometers from the ground. However, there is no news of any loss of life or property due to the earthquake nor has any tsunami alert been issued.
