Iran and America are burning in the fire of war. Meanwhile, an Iranian MP has raised questions on Pakistan’s role as a mediator and expressed concern about its impartiality in the negotiation process.

Ebrahim Razai, who represents Iran’s Dashestan and is a spokesman for Iran’s National Security and Foreign Policy Commission, described Islamabad as a “good friend” of Tehran but stressed that it is not a suitable mediator. They claimed that he is biased and inclined towards America’s interests.

Razai said in a post on

He further wrote, “They are not willing to tell the world that the US had earlier accepted Pakistan’s proposal, but later reneged on its promise. They do not say that the Americans had certain commitments on the issue of Lebanon or the blocked assets, but they failed to fulfill them. An arbitrator should be impartial, and not always inclined towards one side or the other.”

Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump has said that if Iran wants to talk to end its two-month-long war, he can call.

Trump told US media, “If they want to talk, they can come to us, or call us. You know, the phone is there. We have good and secure lines.”
