US President Donald Trump has once again raised concerns about the ongoing tension with Iran and the Strait of Hormuz. Taking a tough stance, Trump has said that America does not want any temporary or short-term agreement, which is why I have given them (Iran) a break. Again warning Iran, Trump said that if I want, an agreement can be reached immediately, but I do not want a short-term agreement. He stressed that whatever deal is made, it should be permanent and long lasting.
On the Middle East conflict, US President Donald Trump said, “I gave them a break. I want to make the best deal. I can make a deal right now. Do you know if I had left now, we would have had a tremendous success. It would have taken them 20 years to rebuild it, but I don’t want to do that. I want it to last forever. I can’t tell you what I’m doing. It would happen very quickly.”
Hormuz is completely under our control – Trump
Regarding opening the Strait of Hormuz, Trump said, “We will open the Strait. Right now, we have it closed. We have complete control over the Strait. They could have opened it three days ago. They came to us, and they said they would agree to open the Strait. All my people were happy except me.”
Trump does not want to give Iran a chance to earn
Trump further said, “I said if we open the Strait, it means they will make $500 million every day. I don’t want them to make $500 million every day until this matter is resolved. That’s why I kept it closed. It will open when they make a deal or something else happens that will be very positive.”
The US President said that America has complete control over the sea. He revealed that Iran had earlier agreed to open the Strait of Hormuz, but later closed it again. Trump has said that we will open the strait, but right now we have kept it closed. We have complete control over the Strait. What I am doing will happen very quickly.
