This denial has been made in response to claims made by US President Donald Trump on social media. In his post shared on Truth Social, Trump included a screenshot of a human rights activist’s claim that eight women were expected to be executed in Iran.
Trump appealed to release these women
Addressing the Iranian leadership directly, Trump wrote, “If these eight women are released, it will prove to be a good and positive step for the upcoming negotiations.” This will increase trust between the two countries. Pictures of these women have also been shared in the post.

Responding to this, Meezan Online, the official website of Iran’s judiciary, has written that the news of Trump giving death sentence to many women is wrong. The statement said, Trump has once again been misled by fake news. Trump had earlier urged Tehran to release the women, saying it could help in ongoing negotiations.
It also said that some of the women mentioned in the reports have already been released, while others face charges that could carry a maximum prison sentence if convicted.
