In another post on Truth Social, US President Donald Trump has claimed that the US has more oil than Russia and Saudi Arabia combined, and many empty oil tankers are now heading towards the US coast to pick up crude.
He wrote, “A huge number of completely empty oil tankers, some of the largest in the world, are headed to the US right now to fill up with the world’s finest and ‘sweetest’ oil (and gas!). We have more oil than the next two largest oil economies combined, and of better quality. We’re waiting for you. Things will get done faster! President DJT.”
America is the largest producer of crude oil and petroleum liquids.
According to Investopedia, the United States is the world’s largest producer of crude oil and petroleum liquids, including lease condensate. In 2023, its average production is just under 22 million barrels per day, which is 22% of the world’s total. This is followed by Saudi Arabia, Russia, China and Canada, which are counted among the top oil producing countries.
