American Special Operations Forces have successfully rescued one of its Air Force officers trapped in Iran. This risky mission was like the story of a Hollywood film, in which hundreds of commandos, war planes, helicopters and advanced intelligence techniques were used.
American Special Forces commandos entered Iran and rescued their soldier safely. The special thing is that no member of the rescue team was injured in this entire mission surrounded by dangers. Special Forces soldiers took their injured officer directly to Kuwait for treatment.
In fact, on Friday, Iran shot down America’s F-15E Strike Eagle fighter jet. There were two crew members on board the jet, who ejected in time. One pilot was quickly rescued, but the Weapons Systems Officer (WSO) was trapped over enemy territory. He hid for almost a day with just a pistol. Iranian forces surrounded the entire area and offered rewards to the local people.
This is how the rescue team was contacted
It was good for America that in the area where the jet crashed, there was more opposition to the government, which helped the officer in hiding. According to media reports, on Saturday night, Navy SEAL Team 6 of the American Special Operations Forces entered deep into Iranian territory and conducted a rescue operation. The officer was in contact with the rescue team with the help of a beacon and secure communication device.
When the commandos of the rescue team reached near the officer, heavy firing started. American fighter planes bombed the advancing Iranian convoys to stop them. The CIA also helped establish contact with local citizens through ‘Unconventional Assisted Recovery’.
America bombs its planes
According to the New York Times report, the rescue team included hundreds of special operations troops. Dozens of war planes, helicopters, cyber and space intelligence were used. In the final stages of the mission two transport aircraft become stranded at a remote base. Commanders immediately sent three new planes and bombed the damaged ones so that they would not fall into Iranian hands.
No member of the rescue team was injured in this entire operation. The injured officer was taken directly to Kuwait for treatment, where his condition is said to be stable.
Officials’ reaction
A senior US military officer described it as one of the most complex and challenging missions in the history of US special operations. President Donald Trump confirmed the success on social media, saying the officer was now safe and was injured but would recover.
This mission is considered to be a proof of American military capability and rapid action, especially despite throwing such a huge force in enemy territory, people are surprised when it was completed without any loss.
