The war between Iran and US-Israel has been going on since February 28. Due to this conflict, the supply of crude oil and gas from Gulf countries to all the countries of the world including India through the Strait of Hormuz has been disrupted. Due to interruption of fuel supply from the Strait of Hormuz, a situation of energy crisis has arisen at the global level. Meanwhile, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson and Deputy Foreign Minister Ismail Baghai had an exclusive conversation with Republic TV’s Editor in Chief Arnab Goswami. In this special interview, he talked openly about America, Israel, Strait of Hormuz.
Ismail Baghai discussed Iran’s future decisions on the Strait of Hormuz. He said that there was no talk about war between America and Iran. He said that only a proposal for negotiation has come from Washington. The proposal also includes America’s demands for a peace agreement. But he clarified that this proposal has not come directly from America. Some have come from mediators, including Pakistan. This should not be considered as direct talks with America.
Iran’s future plan on Strait of Hormuz revealed
On Iran’s policy on the Strait of Hormuz, Baghai clarified that Iran is a coastal state there and has been responsible for the security of the Strait in the past also. He said that in the current war situation, Iran is only taking some “security measures” to ensure that no enemy misuses this waterway amid the attack.
He said that Indian commercial ships have safely passed through Hormuz with prior coordination, and talks are going on between the foreign ministries of both the countries along with India so that there is no shortage of essential goods like oil and LPG for India. He further said that Oman and Iran are two coastal countries. We have been protecting the Strait of Hormuz for more than five decades. It is necessary to adopt some measures regarding the movement of ships and vessels because we are fighting a war with America, Israel and their supporters.
Iran has taken strict action on the Strait of Hormuz, saying that can the coastal nation allow aggressive parties to misuse this waterway, which are promoting their aggression against Iran? Iranian officials believe that in such a situation, every coastal country will take similar steps to protect its national security.
