A helicopter has crashed in Khotang, Nepal. The incident took place in Balabes area of Khartamcha in Ward-2 of Kepilasgarhi Rural Municipality. The helicopter was carrying a dead body from Kathmandu. One of them crashed while trying to land in a farm area in Khotang district.
In Nepal’s Khotang district, a helicopter crashed while landing in a field, Chief District Officer Rekha Kandel told ANI. A dead body was being transported in this helicopter and it had come from Kathmandu. There is no information about any casualty in this incident. Detailed information is awaited.
According to initial reports, there were six people on board the helicopter when the accident occurred. One of them, whose name is said to be Qazi Bahadur Rai, was injured in the incident. Prakash Budhathoki, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) of the District Police Office, said that Rai was immediately taken to Kathmandu for treatment in another helicopter. The remaining six passengers are safe.
