Kabul Hospital Attack: Pakistan launched a major attack on a hospital in Afghanistan’s capital Kabul on Monday (16 March) night. The Taliban has claimed that 400 people were killed and about 250 people were injured in the attack. Pakistan has rejected the allegations of this attack. Rashid Khan wrote that I am deeply saddened by the latest reports of civilian casualties due to Pakistani air strikes in Kabul. Targeting civilian homes, educational institutions or medical facilities – whether intentionally or accidentally…is a war crime. Such blatant disregard for human life, especially during the holy month of Ramzan, is extremely abhorrent and a matter of deep concern. This will only increase division and hatred.
The cricketer appealed to the United Nations and other human rights agencies to thoroughly investigate the attack and hold its perpetrators accountable. The attack will be avenged – Taliban
Taliban is furious over Pakistan’s airstrike. In an interview, Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan spokesperson Zabihullah Mujahid warned that the limits of diplomacy with Pakistan have now been reached. This attack will be avenged.
International Human Rights Foundation also condemned
The International Human Rights Foundation has strongly condemned this attack. The organization said that public places like hospitals and treatment centers should never be targeted. He has demanded the international community to conduct an impartial and independent investigation into this incident, and also appealed to bring the responsible parties to justice. The Foundation has termed this as a clear violation of international law and appealed to people around the world not to remain silent on this issue.
Pakistan denied the allegations of attack
The allegations of Taliban attack on the hospital have been denied. Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif’s spokesperson has said that no hospital was targeted in the attack. At the same time, Pakistan’s Information Ministry also said that the attacks on Afghanistan on Monday night were very precise. In this only military bases and terrorist infrastructure were targeted. No place where common people live was targeted.
