President Donald Trump told reporters on Monday that he does not believe Israel would use nuclear weapons in a war with Iran. “Israel would not do that. Israel would never do that,” the president said at the White House.
David Sachs, head of artificial intelligence and crypto affairs at the White House, recently said in an interview that, “You should be concerned that Israel could escalate the war by considering the use of nuclear weapons.”
‘Objectives cannot be completely the same’
Trump’s comments came after he said yesterday that the US and Israel are largely in agreement on their military goals, although he also acknowledged that their objectives may not be completely the same.
Speaking to reporters aboard Air Force One on Sunday, Trump said, “We have a very good relationship. There is very good coordination between our forces.”
