US President Donald Trump says Iran’s next supreme leader “will not last long” if he is not approved by the White House.
Earlier, the Israeli Army had also warned through a post that the next Supreme Leader would also face the same fate as Khamenei.
As he prepares to nominate someone else to replace Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, Trump told the American media, “He has to get our approval. If he doesn’t get our approval, he won’t last long. We want to make sure that we don’t have to go back every 10 years, when you don’t have a president like me, that won’t happen.”
“I don’t want people to have to go back in five years and have to do the same thing again, or worse, get a nuclear weapon,” Trump said.
“After neutralizing dictator Khamenei, Iran’s terrorist regime is trying to rebuild itself and elect a new leader,” the IDF post read.
The military warned, “Iran’s Assembly of Experts, which has not been held for decades, will soon gather in the city of Qom. We want to tell you that the hand of the Israeli government will continue to pursue every heir and every person who wants to appoint an heir. We warn all those who intend to attend the meeting to choose an heir that we will not hesitate to target you too.”
