TTP Attack on Pakistan Military: The Afghan army has been giving water to the Pakistani army for many days. On the other hand, Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) is also fiercely attacking the Pakistan Army. Attacks have intensified in recent days in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province and surrounding areas located in the north-western part of Pakistan.
Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan has launched a major campaign named ‘Operation Al-Khandaq’, under which security forces are being continuously attacked. According to recent information, TTP has carried out a total of 18 attacks in different districts. These attacks took place in several provinces of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The number and location of the attacks are reported as follows.
Pakistani army and security forces targeted
These attacks are said to be part of TTP’s ‘Operation Al-Khandak’, which is being carried out mainly to target Pakistani Army, Police and other security forces. This operation was declared by TTP as a spring campaign, in which guerrilla attacks, sniper firing, IED blasts and other tactics are being adopted by trained fighters.
These attacks by TTP are a sign of increasing tension in the Pakistan-Afghanistan border area. Pakistan has carried out air strikes on TTP bases in Afghanistan, in response to which TTP has intensified its activities. Due to this the conflict situation between the two countries has become more serious.
Pakistani security forces have launched several operations to counter these attacks, but challenges remain in the border areas. Concerns have increased regarding the safety of local residents and security personnel.
