Trump said in the White House that America is continuing large-scale operations in Iran, so that the serious threats to America from Iran can be eliminated. Speaking to attendees at the Medal of Honor ceremony, the president said Iran ignored warnings against continuing nuclear enrichment following the US attacks on Iran’s nuclear plants last year.
Trump also pointed to Iran’s growing ballistic missile program, saying these programs pose a threat to Americans. Let us tell you that this is the first time since the operation started on Saturday morning that Trump has given a face-to-face and live speech to reporters.
Speaking on Iran at the White House, Trump said about the possible timeline for continuing operations in Iran, whatever time it takes, everything is fine.
Trump said, “We’re already well ahead of our time estimate. But whatever time it takes, that’s OK. Whatever it takes, we will always do it, and we have estimated from the beginning, four to five weeks, but we have the ability to go much longer than that. We will do it.”
Trump said that one thought he would be bored with the operation, but he added, “I don’t get bored. There’s nothing boring about it.”
Trump blamed former President Barack Obama for the deal struck during his administration to stop Iran’s nuclear program. “I was very proud of Barack Hussein Obama’s decision to kill the Iran nuclear deal,” Trump said at the White House.
“That was a very terrible, very dangerous document. They would have had nuclear weapons three years ago, and they would have used them,” Trump said, adding that he would not have allowed that to happen. Trump withdrew from this agreement in 2018 during his first term as President.
